Internationally renowned flamenco teacher/dancer/choreographer Isaac de los Reyes returns to the Dance Complex for his Winter session.

Beginner
Suitable for those with and without previous dance experience. Students will learn the foundation of flamenco technique, including aesthetic, arms, hands and turns, as well as proper technique for clear-sounding and safe footwork. Emphasis will be given to familiarizing students with flamenco rhythm (compas) through flamenco palmas (clapping) exercises.

All Levels
Open to beginner through advanced flamenco students. Classes will cover compas (rhythm), palmas (clapping), marcajes (“marking” steps), as well as arm and hand work, turns, and footwork.

Intermediate/Advanced
New intermediate/advanced students - please check in with Isaac before class to join. Class will include rigorous technique drills and the chance to learn a full choreography.
